We use different categories of cookies on the AlgoVesta Platform, each serving a specific purpose. Below is a detailed breakdown of each category.
Essential Cookies (Required — Cannot Be Disabled)
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the AlgoVesta Platform to function. Without these cookies, core features such as user authentication, session management, and security protections would not work. These cookies do not collect personal information for marketing purposes and cannot be disabled.
- Session Management: Authentication tokens that verify your identity and keep you securely logged in as you navigate between pages on the Platform.
- Security Tokens: Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protection tokens that prevent unauthorized actions from being executed from your account by malicious third-party websites.
- Load Balancing: Server routing cookies that ensure your requests are consistently directed to the same backend server throughout your session, providing a stable and performant experience.
Functional cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization on the AlgoVesta Platform. They remember your choices and preferences so that you do not have to reconfigure them each time you visit. Disabling these cookies may result in reduced functionality or a less personalized experience.
- Language Preference: Stores your selected language (i18n setting) so the Platform displays content in your preferred language across all pages and sessions.
- Theme Preference: Remembers whether you prefer dark mode or light mode, applying your choice automatically each time you access the Platform.
- Dashboard Layout: Stores your preferred dashboard widget arrangement, column visibility settings, and chart configurations.
- Trading Interface Settings: Remembers your preferred trading view settings, including chart timeframes, indicator selections, and order form defaults.
You may disable functional cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work correctly or may require you to manually set your preferences each visit.
Analytics Cookies (Optional — Can Be Disabled)
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the AlgoVesta Platform by collecting anonymous usage statistics. This information is aggregated and used solely to improve our services. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics cookies.
- Anonymous Usage Statistics: Page views, navigation paths, and time spent on different sections of the Platform, collected in aggregate form.
- Feature Adoption Tracking: Anonymized data about which features are used most frequently, helping us prioritize development efforts.
- Performance Monitoring: Page load times, API response times, and client-side error rates to identify and resolve performance issues.
- Error Reporting: Anonymized error logs that help our engineering team identify, diagnose, and fix bugs and technical issues.
Analytics cookies are non-essential and are set only after you give consent through our cookie-consent banner (see "Consent Management" below). You may withdraw your consent at any time via the consent tool, your browser settings, or by enabling Do Not Track. See Section 5 for details.
Signed-in accounts. Separately from the analytics cookies described above, when you are signed in to your AlgoVesta account we record in-product diagnostic and usage information — the pages and actions within your dashboard, and the errors returned to you — in order to operate the service, investigate faults, and fix defects. This processing is described in our Privacy Policy under "Usage Data" and relies on Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR rather than on your cookie consent. It does not use cookies and stores no identifier on your device: the records are linked to your account, not to a browser identifier. It applies only while you are signed in — if you browse without signing in, only the consent rules described above apply. If you wish to object to this processing, contact [email protected].
Certain third-party services that we integrate with may set their own cookies on your device. These cookies are governed by the respective privacy policies of those third parties, and AlgoVesta does not have direct control over them.
- Firebase Authentication (Google): Firebase sets cookies and uses local storage to manage authentication sessions. These are essential for the login and account verification process. Governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare: Cloudflare may set cookies for bot detection, security challenge verification, and performance optimization. Governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Consent Management: Non-essential cookies (functional and analytics) are set only after you give consent through our cookie-consent banner / consent-management tool, which appears on your first visit and can be reopened at any time to change or withdraw your choices. Essential cookies do not require consent. Third-party providers that may set cookies include Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for aggregate, privacy-respecting usage analytics, Cloudflare for security and performance, and Firebase Authentication for sign-in. You may withdraw consent at any time via the consent tool or your browser settings.
