Revoke or rotate an API key
Rotating keys periodically is good hygiene. Here is the clean order of operations.
Revoke (remove access)
- Delete the key on the exchange (API management page) — access ends within seconds
- Remove the entry in Dashboard → API Keys to keep your list tidy
Rotate (replace with a fresh key)
- Create a new trade-only key on the exchange (see the guide for your exchange)
- Add it in the dashboard and wait for the automatic verification check
- Only then delete the old key on the exchange and remove its dashboard entry

Open positions are not affected by key rotation — SL/TP orders already live on the exchange itself.
