How AlgoVesta works and keeps your account safe
AlgoVesta is a hosted execution layer: it takes the signals you already follow from Telegram, TradingView or an AI assistant over MCP and places them as orders on your own exchange or MetaTrader 5 account, under your risk rules. It does not generate signals, does not hold funds, and cannot withdraw.
How does a signal become an order?
Every order follows the same four steps, whichever source sent the signal.
- You choose the source. A Telegram channel you follow, a TradingView alert you created, or an AI assistant you connect over MCP. AlgoVesta does not sell, pick or write signals.
- The signal is read. Telegram messages are parsed from free text, tables or images; TradingView alerts arrive as a webhook message; MCP requests arrive as structured tool calls.
- Your rules are applied. Position size, leverage, stop-loss and take-profit, daily-loss limit, drawdown brake and maximum open positions are checked on AlgoVesta's servers before anything is sent. A signal that breaks a rule is logged with the reason and not executed.
- The order is placed. It goes to one of 16 crypto exchanges or to your MetaTrader 5 account, and the stop-loss and take-profit are placed as real orders on that account wherever the venue supports them.
What can AlgoVesta do with your account, and what can it not?
AlgoVesta can trade on the account you connect, but it cannot move money out of it.
| Action | Can AlgoVesta do it? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Open trades | Yes | Only from the signal source you connected, within your bot's settings. |
| Set and move stop-loss and take-profit | Yes | For the trades it opened, following your break-even and trailing settings. |
| Close positions on its own initiative | No | A close happens only on your instruction or a rule you set; see the next section. |
| Touch positions you opened yourself | No | It closes only the quantity it opened. |
| Withdraw or transfer funds | No | Withdrawal permission is never requested. |
| Hold your money | No | Deposits and balances stay in your own exchange or broker account. |
| Generate trading signals | No | You bring the source; AlgoVesta only executes it. |
| See your exchange password | No | It receives an API key and secret only, encrypted before storage. |
How are your API keys and MT5 credentials protected?
Exchange keys are created with trading permission only, and every key and secret is encrypted at rest with AES-256 before it reaches the database. Credentials are decrypted only in memory, at the moment an order is sent. For MetaTrader 5, AlgoVesta runs the terminal on its own managed servers using trade-only credentials, so there is no VPS or Expert Advisor on your side. You can revoke access at any time by deleting the key on your exchange or disconnecting it in your dashboard. The full key lifecycle is on the security page.
Can AlgoVesta close your positions on its own?
No. AlgoVesta never closes a position on its own initiative. A position is closed only when:
- you close it from your dashboard or press the panic button;
- the signal source you connected sends a close;
- its stop-loss or take-profit is hit, or an automatic close time you set is reached;
- an order whose stop-loss could not be confirmed on the account is closed again seconds after opening, so it is never left without protection.
Even then, only the quantity that AlgoVesta opened is closed. Positions you opened outside AlgoVesta are not touched, and a stopped bot opens no new trades.
Which risk controls run before every order?
The controls run on AlgoVesta's servers, so a message, an alert or an AI assistant cannot switch them off.
- Forex orders need a stop-loss and a take-profit. If neither the signal nor your settings provide both, the order is not opened.
- Daily-loss limit and drawdown brake stop new trades when the limits you set are reached.
- Policy wall for AI assistants. Every MCP order is checked against your rules on the server; no prompt can override them.
- Paper first. MCP connections start on a $5,000 paper balance, and crypto bots can be started in paper mode before any real order.
- Two-factor confirmation for live trading. Live-money access over MCP requires a second factor, and TradingView webhooks only auto-trade when the source is verified.
How can you check what AlgoVesta did?
Every signal AlgoVesta receives is logged with its decision (executed, filtered or rejected) and the reason, and every trade appears in your dashboard with its real profit and loss. AlgoVesta does not publish a marketing win rate; the results page explains why. Service health is on the status page, and shipped changes are recorded in the changelog.
Measured over 90 days (Aug–Oct 2026): of the Telegram messages that were not executed, 48.9% were stopped by a rule or setting the customer controls (for example no bot configured, or a channel outside the bot's scope), 48.4% were routine filtering such as duplicates, and 2.0% were attributed to a platform-side failure. Method and limitations.

What is AlgoVesta not responsible for?
AlgoVesta is automation software, not a broker or an adviser.
