How to create a Backpack API key for AlgoVesta
Follow these steps to generate a trade-only API key on Backpack and connect it to AlgoVesta in minutes.
- Log in to your Backpack Exchange account
- Click your profile icon, select Settings
- Navigate to the API Keys tab
- Click Create API Key
- Enter a label (e.g.
AlgoVesta) - Permissions: enable Order Management + Read
- Complete the security verification
- Copy the API Key and Secret Key

Security first: never enable withdrawal permission. AlgoVesta only needs read + trade access — your keys are stored AES-256 encrypted and funds always stay on your own exchange account.
Next: paste your key in Dashboard → API Keys. AlgoVesta verifies the key automatically after saving. Guided setup is also available via the Quick Connect wizard on that page.
