How to create a Kraken API key for AlgoVesta
Follow these steps to generate a trade-only API key on Kraken and connect it to AlgoVesta in minutes.
- Log in to your Kraken account
- Security > select API
- Click Add key
- Enter a Key Description (e.g.
AlgoVesta) - Permissions: select Query Funds + Create & Modify Orders
- Select Query open orders & trades + Query closed orders & trades
- Complete verification, copy the keys

Security first: never enable withdrawal permission. AlgoVesta only needs read + trade access — your keys are stored AES-256 encrypted and funds always stay on your own exchange account.
